Ron Dunklee - CEO/President
As President and Chief Executive Officer for Astrium
North America, Inc., Mr. Dunklee is responsible for the
company’s overall strategic planning and corporate
development. An accomplished professional, he brings
interfacing; and flight documentation. Mr. Dunklee has
two decades of significant achievements in a variety
of key human spaceflight programs, providing
valuable engineering, project management and strong
business operations acumen. The recipient of numerous
awards and commendations, he holds a B.S. in
Electrical Engineering from the University of Texas.
North America, Inc., Mr. Dunklee is responsible for the

broad experience in flight hardware development
and integration; payload testing and systeminterfacing; and flight documentation. Mr. Dunklee has
two decades of significant achievements in a variety
of key human spaceflight programs, providing
valuable engineering, project management and strong
business operations acumen. The recipient of numerous
awards and commendations, he holds a B.S. in
Electrical Engineering from the University of Texas.
HANS-JÜRGEN ZACHRAU - Vice President
A senior executive of Astrium North America, Mr.
Zachrau provides the company with a wealth of US
and European space program knowledge and
experience. He began his aerospace career over 25
years ago in Bremen, Germany. In 1998, he came to
the US to head up Astrium North America’s ICC
program. Mr. Zachrau played a critical role in
coordinating the international team that delivered the
Columbus Laboratory module to the International
Space Station (ISS). His extensive knowledge of the
technical, procedural and operational aspects of the
ISS and Space Shuttle and his background and
training in Europe are an important bridge facilitating
American and European cooperation in space. Mr.
Zachrau was certified as an Electrical Engineer by
Hochschule Bremen, University of Applied Science,
and earned a Technical Business Administrator
certificate from the Angestelltenkammer Bremen.
Zachrau provides the company with a wealth of US

VICTOR BLUM - Manager, Hardware Integration
As Hardware Integration Manager for Astrium North
America, Inc., Mr. Blum is responsible for the
company’s Integrated Cargo Carrier, a primary
hardware delivery and stowage platform for the
Space Shuttle and International Space Station
programs. He is responsible for project management,
hardware integration, quality assurance and safety.
Having worked in and around the Kennedy Space
Center for the past twenty years, he has an intimate
knowledge of the center’s processes, facilities and
personnel. His nearly three decades of technical and
engineering experience includes areas such as flight
hardware integration, EMI/EMC MIL standard testing,
RF antennas and computers. He holds a B.S. in
Computer Science from Rollins College.

CARL KUEHNEL - Senior Project Manager
As Senior Project Manager for Astrium North America,
Inc., Mr. Kuehnel has extensive experience managing
the programmatic and technical aspects of integrating
spaceflight payloads and cargo for delivery to low
earth orbit and the International Space Station. He
maintains significant spaceflight expertise leading
payload development initiatives – from requirements
definition and hardware development, to payload
engineering, integration, processing and in-flight
operations. Mr. Kuehnel is known for exceptional
customer relations, providing quality support to the
international space-faring community. He holds a
degree in Mechanical Engineering Design.

DON PEDERSEN - Software Development and Engineering Manager
As Software Development and Engineering Manager
for Astrium North America, Inc., Mr. Pedersen brings
more than two decades of technical software
development and management expertise to Astrium
NA spaceflight initiatives. With experience in the
commercial, energy, airline, and aerospace
communities, Mr. Pedersen has led multiple teams in
the architecture and development of efficient,
high-reliability software systems and platforms.
Enhancing his two decades of aerospace experience,
Mr. Pedersen holds a B.S. in Electronics Engineering
Technology from the University of Houston.

As Director, Business Administration at Astrium North
America, Inc., Mr. Owoc oversees the Business
Management, Corporate Administration, and
Information Technologies. He provides an innovative
drive to his responsibilities for information technology,
contract administration, human resources and facilities
management activities. Mr. Owoc is an expert in
information technologies and communications, network
security and business operations. He earned his B.A.
in Economics from the University of Michigan and his
Masters of Business Administration from Sam Houston
State University. He contributes over 30 years of
management experience in aerospace, information
technology, management consulting and banking to
the EADS/Astrium team.

MICHELLE MARTIN - Export Compliance Manager
With 20 years of exceptional business experience,
Ms. Martin serves as the Export Compliance Manager
at Astrium North America, Inc. She has an outstanding
history of working with members of NASA’s
international partner community as well as foreign
national employees on the Space Shuttle and
International Space Station programs, facilitating
export control and compliance activities. An expert in
compliance with Department of Commerce and
Department of State export control regulations and
licensing (EAR and ITAR), Ms. Martin efficiently guides
Astrium NA and its business partners through these
complex regulatory processes. Ms. Martin played an
instrumental role in the development and
implementation of a web-based employee
certification system for export compliance.

As Treasurer and Controller for Astrium North
America, Inc., Ms. King oversees the company’s
accounting, finance, and business administration
functions. With over 12 years experience in her field,
she has held positions of increasing responsibility
preparing financial statements and reports; managing
employee payroll and benefits; and developing and
implementing accounting software user documentation
and training. A detail-oriented and results-driven
professional, Ms. King has experience in all aspects of
accounting and financial management. She holds a
BBA in Accounting from Stephen F. Austin University.
